When Equality Is Clouded By Shame/Uncovering the truth

When reading the responses from the teachers/community on the survey they took I was absolutely angered by it sadly because i know it is the actual truth in our school/community.  I hate how teachers avoid the religion issue i do not understand the problem in it.  Shouldn't we respect the views of others no matter how they see it?  I hang around both catholic and christian friends even though I'm not set on one religious view though i do believe in god, never had we ever got into a fight over the better view isn't that how it should be? i could only hope but not in today's society where we all try to fit in and are afraid of being judged.  John 2:11 But the one who hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going because the darkness has blinded his eyes.  The verse is to remind you that everyone should be seen as your brother or family and that they should not be hate for being different.

Then the point came across that our school isn't open to diversity in ethnicity. (not to be racist) But i find it hard for our school to accept it become our school is roughly 95% white sadly it's the hard core truth.  I personally have never seen anyone different for their ethnicity.  Even though we are not over expose i do believe that our school handles in well despite all the jokes and such.  Minus all the jokes i am pretty proud over the acceptance at school for other ethnicity

Then the stinger finally struck as i read the comments on their thoughts over sexual preferences or how the school handles others sexual preferences.  I personally have never and i mean never had a problem with LGBT people.  In fact i talk to alot of those that are LGBT even one of my close friends are LGBT.  I'm shocked at the comments aimed towards those people and it really disgust me how people act as if they were not "human".  Why is it so hard for people to accept something other then what they claim as "normal"? It also saddens me that they have to hide the fact they are LGBT because of the negativity they get for it.  Everyone should be respected no matter how different they seem to you.  I have recently joined the born this way foundation to support those who are LGBT it was found by Lady Gaga just last month and i encourage  you on taking a stand in supporting them.  http://www.bornthiswayfoundation.org/

We need to stand together to tear down these walls we have built around society so that we stop keeping out those we dub "different" and "unloved by god" only together will we have the power to do so. only we can break the reeling chain that binds us to ignore what we call "the norm".  but we can't achieve it separately so i ask you today break free of this ignorant and arrogant society we live in today so that we can finally call ourselves one nation under god.

Here is a couple videos on the Its Gets Better Foundation promoting those that it will get better in time.
He tells you it can get better

in this video he tells how he victimized LGBT but how he is taking a stand to stop it.

And finally the sad death of Jamey Rodemeyer who killed himself in September
i posted this video to show the effects of not accepting peoples differences.
